Agreement to terms

By accessing or using the Careersity website at https://www.careersity.work, including localised paths (the “Site”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Changes published in the “Changes to these terms” section apply as described there. Use of the Site does not create an employment, agency, partnership, or services contract between you and Luminous Giant.

Operator identification

The Site is operated by LUMINOUS GIANT — UNIPESSOAL LDA, a single-member private limited company (sociedade unipessoal por quotas), NIPC 519357124, with registered office at Rua Companhia dos Caolinos, 102, R/C Esq Tras, 4460-205 Senhora da Hora, Matosinhos, Porto district, Portugal. The Site is offered under the Careersity brand.

Purpose of the website

The Site is a coming-soon marketing surface for Careersity: a planned live index of job roles, intended to sync public listings and, when the product opens, to offer search, CVs, and related features.

At present the Site does not provide user accounts, job applications, contact forms, waitlists, payment processing, or an online store. Content on the Site is general information about the forthcoming product and does not constitute legal, career, or recruitment advice.

When product features launch, additional terms or updated versions of these Terms of Use may apply to those features.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Site. By using the Site you represent that you meet this requirement and that you will use the Site in accordance with these terms and applicable law.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site lawfully, fairly, and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations (including intellectual property, data protection, and electronic communications)
• Engage in scraping, crawling, harvesting, or systematic extraction of content without prior written authorisation
• Interfere with the operation of the Site, including overload, denial-of-service attacks, or introduction of malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Attempt unauthorised access to systems, APIs, Cloudflare infrastructure, databases, or restricted areas
• Circumvent security or consent measures
• Reverse engineer or exploit vulnerabilities in the Site, except under a previously agreed responsible disclosure process
• Use the Site in a way that infringes third-party rights

We reserve the right to restrict or block access to the Site or report unlawful conduct to the competent authorities.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, all Site content — text, graphics, logos, the Careersity brand, design, and overall compilation — is owned by Luminous Giant or its licensors and is protected by Portuguese and international intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to view Site content for personal use or internal reference. Reproduction, distribution, public communication, or commercial exploitation without prior written consent is prohibited.

Third-party job listings disclaimer

Careersity is not an employment agency, recruitment firm, or temporary work agency. When the product indexes job listings, those listings belong to their original publishers. Careersity does not employ candidates on behalf of publishers and does not guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete, current, or still open.

Applications are intended to take place on the original publisher’s website or application channel. Links out of Careersity (when available) are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for third-party application processes, hiring decisions, or the content of external sites.

Nothing on the Site creates an offer of employment by Luminous Giant or Careersity.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

We strive to keep information up to date but do not warrant that content is complete, error-free, or suitable for your specific circumstances.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits warranties or liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited under Portuguese public policy, including liability for wilful misconduct (dolo) or gross negligence (culpa grave).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Luminous Giant, its managers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or other consequential or special damages arising from or related to use of or inability to use the Site.

Except where applicable law prohibits it, our liability is limited to direct damages proven to have been caused by a breach attributable to Luminous Giant in connection with use of the Site.

Safeguard: Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability that Portuguese law does not permit to be excluded or limited, including in cases of wilful misconduct (dolo), gross negligence (culpa grave), or where mandatory consumer protection rules apply.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by Portuguese law, including the Civil Code and general contract law, without prejudice to mandatory data protection rules and, where applicable, consumer law.

For disputes relating to these terms or use of the Site, the parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Judicial District of Porto, Matosinhos section, unless mandatory law provides otherwise (including consumer territorial jurisdiction where applicable).

Personal data processing in the context of the Site is described in our Privacy Policy. Cookie and similar technology use, including consent via vanilla-cookieconsent, is described in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms of Use periodically. The updated version takes effect when published on the Site with a revised “Last updated” date.

If we introduce material product features (for example accounts, CV tools, or indexed listings), we may update these terms or publish additional terms; continued use after publication constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law. We recommend checking this page periodically.
